Novotel Clermont Ferrand

“Booked last minute as our travel plans changed unexpectedly. So happy to have found this wonderful hotel. Check in was fast, room was spotlessly clean. Bar had a wide choice of beers & wines. Dinner was a fantastic meal with many choices on the menu. Breakfast was buffet with again many choices. If you are looking for a hotel in a quiet location but still close to tge city and only 5 minutes to the Airport then book the Novotel”

“The hotel was chosen due to it's close proximity to the motorway and the great reviews for it's restaurant. We booked it as an overnight stop on the way down to the coast. Unfortunately, the week before travelling, we were informed of a kitchen staffing shortage. Breakfast the next day was poor for the money, I'm not sure if related to staffing issue? As the local restaurants had mixed reviews, we ended up having a fantastic meal in Le Duguesclin (this is definitely worth a trip). This involved taking taxis both ways, something I had tried to avoid by booking this hotel in the 1st place. Apart from that, clean, tidy, quiet and efficient check-in. I might use again next year, although I'm thinking a hotel more in the centre and revisit Le Duguesclin.”

“When we got to our room, there were crisps on the floor everywhere. We notified staff and they let us change to a clean room. Very good service! Breakfast was excellent. The swimming pool and table tennis is good. In the evening, there were cicadas in the bushes outside!”
